The release of Halo: Reach

Anyone that plays video games knows that Halo: Reach was recently released, and we all know that it was a huge success, but how big of a success was it?

Hours before Halo: Reach hit its one week release anniversary, Bungie, the makers of the game, announced some numbers on the games popularity!

1) 31 MILLION games have been played so far.
2) 98 MILLION player games have been recorded.
3) The combined amount of time played in match made games since release is 953 years!
4) 8 MILLION+ daily challenges have been completed, and 250k weeklies completed!

As you can see, Halo: Reach is a very popular game thus far, and rest assured, this writer will be keeping an eye on these statistics, and reporting when needed.

  4. @Vidyablogban

All I know is that it sold 0ver $200 million within the first 24 hours, not sure what it's at now, but I have a feeling it has sky rocketed.

Microsoft will most likely announce more figures later in the month. Their supposedly releasing the first patch in early october to counter some of the common and annoying bugs before they work on the match making system, as well as adding Co-op game play.

  8. Halo Reach has improved graphics from Halo 3, and a mapeditor for a console game is very cool.
